# Software & OS Updates configuration

<p class="callout info">OS &amp; Software updates are enabled by default when you create a new service.</p>

You can configure when updates are applied - by the minute, hour, or day.

<p class="callout warning">All times configured in the dashboard are **UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).**</p>

It's also possible to start an update interactively with the Update now buttons or view logs of previous updates.
